Who we have shared an anchorage with before at either Pancake or maybe even Garry's) came in while we where out, but we were still able to tuck right in. As I type this, there are now eight yachts anchored in this little cove, so it might get even tighter before last light. 2912’ S, 151. 1 hr, 25 min (cumulative: 42 hr, 19 min). 30th July, 2011. 4996’ S, 151. 2912’ S, 151. 5 hr, 20 min (cumulative: 40 hr, 54 min). Ship's Log: 15th January, 2012

http://www.seasprint-ships-log.blogspot.com/2012/01/15th-january-2012.html

Sunday, 15 January 2012. 15th January, 2012. We spent yesterday relaxing at Mooloolaba, including a trip across the road to the beach so the kids could boogie board. It was a good, fun day. The wind had remained basically from the east at around 16kts for the duration. Sailing on a close reach allowed good speed and we averaged a little over 7kts over ground. It was a fantastic sail, good fun, and a great way to finish the trip. 0 hr, 53 min (cumulative: 139 hr, 34 min). 15th January, 2012.

http://www.seasprint-ships-log.blogspot.com/2012/01/12th-january-2012.html

Friday, 13 January 2012. 12th January, 2012. At 9:30pm, we raised the anchor and motored past the special mark with a least depth sounding of 1.7m. We anchored on the south side of Inskip Point at 9:45pm; virtually in the same spot we were thirteen hours prior. I would like to get an early start tomorrow and leave around 7:00am so we are in a position to cross the bar from 7:30am (high tide is 10:39am) as we now have to sail 60nm or so to Mooloolaba. 2 hr, 00 min (cumulative: 134 hr, 22 min).

Nicolls@Sea: All clear

http://the-nicolls.blogspot.com/2011/12/tc-fina-didnt-have-very-long-life.html

Friday, 23 December 2011. TC Fina didn't have a very long life. We spent yesterday and today sheltered at Curlew Island, about 45nm SE of Mackay. It has provided us good protection from the SE winds and while we have had a little bit of swell, it has not been too uncomfortable. We have managed to keep ourselves very busy doing absolutely nothing! Jill and Barry said. Very pleased to hear youre OK. Saturday, December 24, 2011 7:46:00 am. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Nicolls@Sea: Bugger - A Cyclone

http://the-nicolls.blogspot.com/2011/12/bugger-cyclone.html

Thursday, 22 December 2011. Bugger - A Cyclone. We will continue to have strong winds but we're outside the BoM's affected areas forecast. I would have preferred that any cyclones held off until we were south of Bundaberg but it seems we may be in for some excitement - and a windy Christmas. Here's hoping it is all a big non-event and Fina eases and heads back out to sea as predicted later today! Batten down the hatches and stay safe. Thursday, December 22, 2011 4:36:00 pm. Nicolls@Sea: January 2012

http://the-nicolls.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, 15 January 2012. Safe and Sound in Brisbane. After a fantastic run down the coast from Mooloolaba, averaging over 7 knots, we're safe and sound back in Brisbane after more than 6 months and 3,100 nautical miles. We're living aboard for a few days as we get house keys back from our tenant and wait for our removal next Tuesday. Can you believe I have to do a removal on my birthday? At least Shane's parents have been kind enough to take the squids for a few days and Shane is taking me out to dinner.

Wednesday, 11 January 2012. Old Shelley and Friends. Hello to all my fans and I'm sorry that I haven't blogged since November the 17th. However, I hope I can make up for that wide, wide space by telling you about Lady Musgrave Island. Just bear with me. Cameron and I with. A nesting Green Turtle. We followed them along the beach to a Green filling in her nest. Another. Green was just next door digging her nest. We followed the former Green down the beach then watched the- oh, this is so confusing- new.

Wednesday, 29 June 2011. Seasprint being slipped this week for anti-fouling. The boat is out of the water having her bottom cleaned this week. On the way to the lift we passed a group of 10-year old-ish kids learning how to sail small boats in the marina and were amused to hear their take on avoiding collisions at sea - "Look out! No, you look out! Monday, 20 June 2011. Heather wanted a bloody freezer! Ice for my scotch and being able to keep ice cream are simply bonuses. 3 weeks (or so? Shane and his br...

Nicolls@Sea: September 2011

http://the-nicolls.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 28 September 2011. Yesterday we came from Stonehaven and then came here, Nara Inlet. We went swimming after finishing off schoolwork then we went ashore on our boogie boards and found a rock with a cave in it and Haydee and I decided to climb into it, but, on the way we found a lot of obstacles, one was even a scorpion about 2cm long. Here is a little poem that I wrote earlier on:. When I am 20. I will own a boat,. It will be a shark cat,. And I will keep it in a moat. I will buy a dog,. We're...
