Sea This World

Thursday, 24 January 2013. Walk to see the Winter Waders Roost, Part 1. There is an amazing array of wildlife around the coast here at this time of year and a winter walk in January is a great way to blow away the cobwebs whilst taking in all the beauty the coastline has to offer. The Sardines are here in the estuary at the moment because they are following the nutrient rich cold water. There is also a large amount of nutrients in the water following the rains. We saw a large number of Oyster Catchers on...

Sea This World: A Successful Seal Survey on the North Coast of Cornwall

http://seathisworld.blogspot.com/2011/07/successful-seal-survey-on-north-coast.html

Wednesday, 6 July 2011. A Successful Seal Survey on the North Coast of Cornwall. What a glorious day on the North Cornish Coast, I am already feeling really lucky to be going on a boat trip with Cornish Sea Tours. And other Polzeath Voluntary Marine Conservation Area volunteers; little did I know this was going to be one of the most truly amazing days .EVER! Here we see three more seals, one a beautiful haulout female with dark markings on her side back and head. At almost 1pm three adventurous Common Do...

Sea This World: Seal Survey and Sunfish on the North Cornish Coast

http://seathisworld.blogspot.com/2012/07/seal-survey-and-sunfish-on-north.html

Tuesday, 3 July 2012. Seal Survey and Sunfish on the North Cornish Coast. I knew it was going to be a challenging survey when the weather report came in on the previous evening. A wall of water was due to cover the entire Westcountry from 11am with not a sign of ending until after 4pm, which coincidentally would completely cover the duration of our trip! The good news though, the swell was holding off nicely and the survey was to go ahead! There has definitely been quite a lack of seals on this survey, t...

Sea This World: Seal Survey September 2012

http://seathisworld.blogspot.com/2012/09/seal-survey-september-2012.html

Friday, 14 September 2012. Seal Survey September 2012. We met at the Rock pontoon to be greeted by Matt, who quickly and excitedly informed us that there are literally hundreds of dolphins along the coast at the moment. The RIB sea safari he had lead that morning had spotted around 100 dolphins, many of them with calves. He had also been surrounded by a super pod of around 300 dolphins the previous week within a three mile stretch of open water! At our first regular seal lookout spot there are six seals.

Sea Thinks

Thursday, August 13, 2015. Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity. What is the first thing you think of when you hear to word maturity. I used to think of a responsible adult who was successful at their job. Yeah that's great but that is NOT what we are talking about here. I am going to tell you about maturing in faith. In this scripture the greek word for maturity also translates to completeness. Is your faith in God complete? Surely mine is good to go right?
