We are two fun-loving Seattle transplants. This is the story of our sometimes geeky life. Monday, April 4, 2011. Getting my Craft on. A few days ago my friend sent me this link:. Http:/ thecraftsdept.marthastewart.com/2011/03/infinite-variety-three-centuries-of-red-and-white-quilts.html. Seeing all those quilts ranging from simple to extremely intricate made me want to work on Miles' quilt. I already had the fabric for it and it was already cut out. Here is the quilt top. Looks like zig zags to me!

Followed by him banging on the wall and opening and closing closet doors very loudly. Lessons learned, don't expect relaxation when traveling with toddlers and keep your expectations low when it comes to "me" time. Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Don't you just love pajamas? http://seattle-mathletes.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

We are two fun-loving Seattle transplants. This is the story of our sometimes geeky life. Sunday, December 26, 2010. We were really looking forward to celebrating Christmas at home this year. It's nice to have your child sleep in his own bed, wake up in familiar surroundings and then see that something is different at the Christmas tree. Here is Miles' experience. Everything is set up for optimum viewing when Miles wakes up. The family in our new pajamas. A race car track. Thanks again grandparents!

Some random things I learned/saw on my visit: There is a University that has the same tune as the hymn Come Ye Children of the Lord. All in all a very interesting day. It was fun to be a VIP. And it was also fun to see the kids smile and get their hugs when we retrieved them from their babysitter. Wild, Wonderful Waffles.

For the occasional post. Pictures I'm Pleased to Have Taken. Friday, September 30, 2011. The future has arrived: welcome to 2009. Yes, yes, I realize that 2009 is considered the past for most of us, but for my trusty Mac it's five years in the future from 2004. And it finally made it! It's only taken about two years of hemming, hawwing, and contemplating on my part (plus a little shove from a RAM transplant), but better late then never. :) (This post brought to you from the newly improved Mac.).

The first trip to the temple of food. My stroller buddy fell asleep while in the store, most likely some time before we hit the candy section, since he was underwhelmed with it when we passed through.
