Seattle Mariners Musings: 2015 Trade Deadline Belongs to Sellers
http://seattlemarinersmusings.blogspot.com/2015/08/2015-trade-deadline-belongs-to-sellers.html
Thoughts on the Mariners, MLB draft, and more. 8226; about me. 2015 Trade Deadline Belongs to Sellers. 160; Tim Chalberg. Saturday, August 01, 2015. I wrote a month ago about how the Mariners could exploit the trade deadline market. The M's impending free agents aren't really stars. Their most interesting pieces are probably Austin Jackson. Players with value, but not at the same level as fellow rentals David Price. However, many non-stars have already been traded. Did a seller's market emerge? Ramirez i...
Seattle Mariners Musings: September 2014
http://seattlemarinersmusings.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Thoughts on the Mariners, MLB draft, and more. 8226; about me. 160; Tim Chalberg. Sunday, September 28, 2014. I have five minutes to write a post. Maybe ten. Not much time, but I've got to write something. So many things I wish I had the time to talk about with the M's game last night. I've got a church service to get to though, doubly important because my grandfather is getting recognized at this one. I still have my priorities outside of baseball, and I won't apologize for those. Before I get too carri...
Seattle Mariners Musings: January 2015
http://seattlemarinersmusings.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thoughts on the Mariners, MLB draft, and more. 8226; about me. Imagining Brad Miller as a Center Fielder. 160; Tim Chalberg. Wednesday, January 14, 2015. There are also rumors popping up that the Astros are close to acquiring Evan Gattis. Perhaps that will warrant a full post if/when it happens. Houston is coming, sooner or later, and a move like acquiring Gattis would move up the time table. I like Gattis as an M's target, but after Nelson Cruz signed he made less sense. Miller is a better hitter than J...
Seattle Mariners Musings: Links

Thoughts on the Mariners, MLB draft, and more. 8226; about me. These are my go-to baseball pages. By no means is meant to be an authoritative or complete list. These are sites that heavily inform what I write about (in other words, I look at them):. The play-by-play man for the Tacoma Rainiers also does a commendable job of covering the team. Furthermore, his blog posts often contain links to several interesting stories. Still the easiest baseball site to get lost on for hours. The historical data av...
Seattle Mariners Musings: November 2014
http://seattlemarinersmusings.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thoughts on the Mariners, MLB draft, and more. 8226; about me. 160; Tim Chalberg. Monday, November 24, 2014. Or, alternatively, Mariners Prove Even Mariners Can Produce AND Keep Home-Grown Position Player. Kyle Seager (Wikemedia Commons, User UCInternational. Source: Flickr, author hj west). The real significance in Seager's deal comes from the dearth of contracts to players like Seager for a long, long time. However, first, the deal itself is very good for the Mariners. The other is Ken Griffey Jr.

Mariner Melee: Mariners ink Guillen to minor league deal
http://marinermelee.blogspot.com/2012/02/mariners-ink-guillen-to-minor-league.html
Mariners ink Guillen to minor league deal. I won't be able to write much as I am just about to hop on a plane. First impression, I like it. Low cost, possible 3B/OF option. Good addition at a low cost. Competition is always good for camp. Wednesday, February 01, 2012. March 12, 2013 at 6:07 AM. Thank you for the good writeup. It if truth be told used to be. A leisure account it. Glance complicated to more added agreeable from you! By the way, how could we communicate? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Mariner Melee: Forecasting Casper
http://marinermelee.blogspot.com/2012/02/forecasting-casper.html
Casper Wells is a subject of much interest to me. I knew practically nothing about him when the Mariners acquired him at the trade deadline, so of course I did what any reasonable analyst would do; I looked up the numbers. It started off pretty well, ISO over .200 in the minors, oh that's pretty good. Impressive minor league wOBA, yep I'll take that. Now wait what's this? 28% strike out rate, okay well it is what it is. 10% walk rate, well hey now, we've got a Mariner on our hands. The dynamic of this te...

Mariner Melee: Seattle Inks Hong-Chih Kuo
http://marinermelee.blogspot.com/2012/02/seattle-ink-hong-chih-kuo.html
Seattle Inks Hong-Chih Kuo. It's a one year Major League contract which is interesting considering the Mariners bullpen is just about full. Only one or two spots remain open, with Sherrill having already wrapped up the left-handed specialist role. The Mariners now have to move someone off of the 40-man roster. I'll be interested to see who get's moved off the 40-man. Monday, February 06, 2012. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Spring Training Stories 2/13. Spring Training Stories 2/12.
Mariner Melee: A Trade that Almost Was
http://marinermelee.blogspot.com/2012/01/trade-that-almost-was.html
A Trade that Almost Was. A bit of interesting news broke today. When the trade for Pineda and Montero went down, several GMs around the league were stunned to find out that our former, young ace was even available. Alex Anthopoulos, GM of the Toronto Blue Jays, wasn't included in the surprised category. In an interesting article today in The Globe and Mail. It was hinted that the Mariners may have tried to acquire Toronto's young third baseman, Brett Lawrie. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. The Hot Stone League.

Seattle Mariners Bet Blog Gamble Info and Roster
Seattle Mariners Bet Blog Gamble Info and Roster. Thursday, October 05, 2006. Mariners have work to do in offseason. They're sticking with general manager Bill Bavasi and manager Mike Hargrove, letting them continue into 2007 what they say was a step forward for the team in 2006. The stakes will be high. Management's patience will be low. A slow start to the season will cost jobs next spring that weren't lost this fall. The seat will be hot all winter. Despite the promise the Mariners. Needing to fill th...
