Such stuff as dreams are made on. Apple-y Ever After: Reception Details. Now onto the real wedding goodness. Reception details! I absolutely loved how everything came together at the reception. McKenzie. Did such an amazing job with the florals - they looked even better than I had imagined. Here's a big shot of the ballroom. All gussied up, as well as some close-ups of the tables. I literally did nothing. Those freaking flowers just kill me. So fabulous. Another shot of our last-minute menus. For those c...

Such stuff as dreams are made on. Apple-y Ever After: All Done. After lots of dancing. And lots of Smileboothing. We gathered our things and headed out to a cab. Everyone else was loitering around the reception hall, not ready to leave. Mr. CA and I weren't ready either, I don't think, but we were sweaty and tired. It was time to go! No fancy limo or getaway car - a cab will do just fine for us. It was fabulous, I was very surprised, and it was just the perfect end to a wonderful day. A fuzzy Space Needle.

Such stuff as dreams are made on. Apple-y Ever After: Licensed to Wed. All right, now that we've talked about dress regret. Let's get back to the week of the wedding! On Sunday, I felt like we were just constantly moving. Non-stop. I sort of liked it and sort of felt like my head would explode. It was a love-hate relationship. Obtaining our marriage license! Personal Photo. Clearly. And not having to deal with license drama made a stressful week slightly less stressful. Check your state and county's poli...

Such stuff as dreams are made on. He Wed, She Wed. It's official - the Candy Apples are married! The wedding day itself, as well as the week preceding and the weekend after, were absolutely amazing. We are still trying to process everything, but had a total blast with family and friends. We are a bit bummed that the fairytale weekend is over and that we're back to reality, but seeing pictures go up on Facebook has been super fun. Well, this is it! And, Mr. CA. There are no words I could say that would be...

Such stuff as dreams are made on. Apple-y Ever After: Smile. You guys. Is it strange that one of my favorite parts of the reception was our Smilebooth. Because it was. I freaking loved that thing. The reception was rocking - people were dancing. Drinking, splashing, socializing, and just generally getting. Crazy on the dance floor. While that was going on, they took breaks and made their way over to the bar area where the Smilebooth was set up. It was glorious. Did you had a photobooth at your reception?

Such stuff as dreams are made on. Way back in the day. I was having some issues deciding on shoes. Because I am oh-so-indecisive. I just couldn't get my ish together. Same old, same old. Well, really, I just couldn't stop thinking about these lovelies. Hello there, beautiful. They were expensive, but I just could not stop thinking about the bows! And the pretty slate-grey! And the square, ballerina-slipper-esque toe! Like Cinderella shoes, but cooler. Box within a box. As per usual, I am obsessed with th...

Such stuff as dreams are made on. Return to Sender - Address Unknown. More on that later, I suppose. From Martha Stewart Weddings. Let me just add at this point that I like to justify most of my expenses as "wedding purchases" so that I don't feel bad about spending money. At the same time, I justify them as non-. Wedding purchases, so I don't have to include them in our budget. Because, duh, I'll use it again after the wedding, right? Does no one else do this? Okay, I have a problem. Yes I am terrified.

Such stuff as dreams are made on. I already posted about the location that wasn't. Sigh) Today, I want to talk about the venue and style that wasn't (weren't)! I realize these posts may sound a bit negative-nancy, but bear with me; we're narrowing things down and will eventually get to "what was"! Well, is. But, you get the idea.
