Renee Weaves!: July 2010
http://reneeweaves.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
The title says it all! This blog is about weaving, spinning, dyeing and the fiber arts. Sunday, July 11, 2010. I had a moving sale here this weekend! I am pleased to say that most of the stuff I put out is sold. I would like to thank those weavers and fiber people who came out and bought! Thanks to Cindie K. as well for spreading the news for me. If you haven't read her blog yet check it out here. Or go to my fiber links column. I know I haven't done any weaving, and very little spinning over the past ye...

The title says it all! This blog is about weaving, spinning, dyeing and the fiber arts. Wednesday, March 18, 2009. I have to beg indulgence from one and all. This is such a strange time in my life. It is definitely a time of transition. I have been away from the blog for a time. My meager online time has been devoted to researching some of the choices my husband and I have on where to go from here. I have drawn and sketched pretty much most of my life. I can't help myself it seems. I have sketch ...I dre...

Renee Weaves!: May 2009

The title says it all! This blog is about weaving, spinning, dyeing and the fiber arts. Saturday, May 30, 2009. Spinning on the Skagit and a Skeinwinder. I am taking a breather from packing and cleaning to post a quick post. My spinning wheel is living nicely in its new home and the repair I did to it seems to be holding up too. I celebrated the lovely weather by spinning on the bank of the Skagit river (the "g" in Skagit is pronounced like a "j" so it sounds like Ska-jit) which is about 25 feet from our...

Weaving is like dancing. You move your whole body in harmony with the loom, stepping in rhythm on the pedals, one and then the other. The colors of yarn play like instruments around you as you weave, and the tapestry that emerges is the song you have made together, you and your loom. Our weavings are ideal for home décor such as wall hangings, area rugs, hall or table runners, placemats, pillow covers, and much more. To request a special order in the hand-dyed colors, design, and size of your choice,...

http://reneeweaves.blogspot.com/2012/01/road-block.html
The title says it all! This blog is about weaving, spinning, dyeing and the fiber arts. Monday, January 30, 2012. When I got the loom warped and ready to throw the shuttle, I hadn't done the tie-up as it usually takes a few minutes and off I go. Looks like I posted a bit too soon on the actual shuttle launch time. : ). I will see if I can find a picture of it and a reference link for the article for the next post. Until next post, -Renee.
