There Are No Results. December 27, 2012 - Boat was covered in early November. Purchased cover and frame from Genco Marine. Had to remove a few stanchions since they were poking into cover. Found that stainless stanchion was corroded into aluminum base in some cases. Had to remove base from deck. Winterized engine, used 8 liters of antifreeze. I have removed the primary winches for a complete overhaul as they are very stiff to turn by hand. These are Barient 28ST aluminum. I have completed the ove...

The keel/hull join on Wave Walker has been an issue for years. I was becoming concerned that it was leaking. I always was getting water in the bilge and when on the cradle, there was water leaking from the cracks from previous repairs. When I opened up the crack, I found the water was only within the repair and not coming from the bilge out the keel/hull join. This is the same section opened up. This is the same prepped for repair. Down Load Complete 2011 Racing Calendar. There a a few projects that I am working on for the 2012 racing/sailing season. The 2 major ones are:. 1) doing a complete repair of the keel/hull join,. 2) repairing the foredeck from the bow to aft of the bow mooring cleats. I have had Wave Walker for 30 years now. I have added some electronics over the years, an Autopilot in 1988, a LORAN C in 1989 and a GPS in 2008 as well as changing instruments a couple of times using my own design and fabrication.

It was wet, very wet, but there was a nice 10 knot breeze. A total of 13 boats turned out, with 3 boats in our fleet. We finished 3rd but no one got hurt and we did not break anything.
