Seven Cups of Tea. Creamy Tomato Basil Soup. Growing up my grandma always made me bright red tomato soup. I used to love it so much, but really what kid didn’t like tomato soup? 4 tbs olive oil. 1 tbs dried thyme. 1 can diced tomatoes. 1 1/2 cup fresh basil. 3 tbs dried basil. 2 cups chicken broth. 1 cup heavy whipping cream. Preheat the oven to 370 degrees F. Wash and slice the Roma tomatoes in half and place them on a baking tray. Place them in the oven and roast them for 45 minutes. Add salt and pepper.
