Bass Fishin'

Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Being married to an Alaskan, I have the opportunity to visit Alaska every summer. As an added bonus, my job allows me to work remotely from there for a few weeks. There are many wonderful things about being in Alaska, but one of my favorites is the opportunity to go fishing in some of the most scenic places for the world's finest salmon. The solution was to create the Alaska Fishing Journal. Sunday, June 21, 2009. Sunday, June 7, 2009. Saturday, August 9, 2008. Well, Wednesday An...

Bass Fishin': Photo Sum-up

http://www.sebastianhoffman.blogspot.com/2008/07/photo-sum-up.html

Thursday, July 31, 2008. I shaved my head at the end of Spring. Jason was kind enough to leave me a little on the sides. I love not having school and taking a break from shaving! Andrew up to more dam mischief. This thing puts out 1860 megawatts of power! That's a lot of dam power! We stopped by Jo's house on the way to Vegas. We went to Temple Square to plant flowers as a service project. I made good use of the latex gloves. Summer wouldn't be complete without a rodeo! Or a camping trip.

Bass Fishin': Summer

http://www.sebastianhoffman.blogspot.com/2008/07/summer.html

Thursday, July 31, 2008. Well folks, it's been a crazy Spring/Summer. So here it is in a nutshell:. Anyways, I did really well in the class (I got an A- to replace my D-) and I got my overall GPA above a 3.0! After the end of Spring term, Andrew (my brother) and I drove down to Las Vegas to meet up with my parents for a week. We stayed at the Tuscany Inn, a nice hotel just about a block off the strip. As you can see, Mom had a good time! Including all you can eat crab legs-yum! I will graduate in April 2...

Annie Davies: Parliament, trees, and Abbey Road

http://bardsdaughter.blogspot.com/2008/08/parliament-trees-and-abbey-road.html

Sunday, August 10, 2008. Parliament, trees, and Abbey Road. Megan, Erin, Malory, Cami and me in Westminster Hall in Parliament.  I would show you more pictures, because it was absolutely beautiful inside. but this is the only place we were allowed to take pictures.  We went into the House of Commons and House of Lords as well, it was great! This massive tree was in Hyde Park and was it absolutely impossible NOT to climb it (so yes, that is me at the top! David, Rachel and me at the top!

Annie Davies: Hever Castle

http://bardsdaughter.blogspot.com/2008/08/hever-castle-home-of-boleyns-anne.html

Friday, August 1, 2008. Hever Castle - the home of the Boleyn's (Anne Boleyn - one of Henry V's beheaded wives).  It looked like such a mini castle - but it was actually huge inside and completely beautiful.  Most of the inside was renovated in the early 1900's, but it was redone with some of the most beautiful woodwork I have ever seen.  It was stunning inside. The grounds to Hever castle were HUGE! Don't worry, there was a massive lake on their land. Bridge we walked across to get to Hever castle.

Annie Davies: Canterbury and the London Temple

http://bardsdaughter.blogspot.com/2008/08/canterbury-and-london-temple.html

Sunday, August 10, 2008. Canterbury and the London Temple. Canterbury Cathedral.  This is us making our own sort of pilgrimage out of it. Inside the Cathedral. It was beautiful! Us in front of the London Temple.  It wasn't actually in London and we had to take the tube, a train, and a taxi to get there - it took about 2 hours to get there, but it was so worth it! Posted by Annie Wells. I want this castle. August 10, 2008 at 7:14 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Healthy, Happy, Hardys.

http://bardsdaughter.blogspot.com/2008/07/our-hike-in-lake-district-up-mountain.html

Sunday, July 27, 2008. Our hike in the Lake District up the mountain (ahem. hill). The shot of Lake Windermere from the mountain/hill.  It was absolutely stunning if the picture doesn't do it justice. Me and Lake Windermere. Don't worry mom, I wasn't TOO close to the edge. Sheep are everywhere. And I just really wanted a picture with one :). Posted by Annie Wells. Annie, sometimes I wish I was you. All the hikes and places you are going seem so AWESOME! Sunday, August 10, 2008. Dover Castle.  They actually fortified it during WWII in preparation for the expected invasion of England. Me and Henry VIII.  He's so charming. no wonder they all fell for him :). Kristin and me blackberry picking.  It's what we do best together.  Except that these were really really pokey, no fun. 160;The white cliffs of Dover are behind us as well as Dover Castle on the hill. It was stunning! Us looking off at France. WAY off in the distance.). 160;They were beautiful!

Annie Davies: Happy (anticlimactic) Birthday, Harry Potter! (July 31)

http://bardsdaughter.blogspot.com/2008/08/happy-anticlimactic-birthday-harry.html

Monday, August 4, 2008. Happy (anticlimactic) Birthday, Harry Potter! Don't EVER believe that you will get ANYTHING even remotely related to pumpkin at Pumpkin Cafe - it won't happen.  Sad day, we wanted to eat pumpkin pasties on Harry Potter's Birthday (we would have even been happy with pumpkin pie). but alas, we found out that pumpkin pasties don't even exist. J.K. Rowling sometimes lies. 160;Hot humidity tube = REALLY hot! Where they filmed Diagon Alley. Posted by Annie Wells. Healthy, Happy, Hardys.

Sunday, July 27, 2008. The Lake District. I felt like Lizzy Bennet just a little bit. This is Lake Windermere.  William Wordsworth was always talking about how inspiring this lake was to him - and indeed it was.  We stayed in a hostel just on the shores of the lake.  Wow. En undrende mann i Wien. Laquo;En undrende mann i Wien – Når kunst blir kunst».
