http://freedomfromblog.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html
Don't call it a comeback . . . . Saturday, April 30, 2005. Lots of work on the house the last two days, little time for posting. New doorbell, cupboard handles in the kitchen, working vent fan in the bathroom, and interview with a real estate agent (who seemed great). Plus, some grading and a meeting or two. Things will pick up in the middle of next week, at least as far as posting goes. Posted by Number Three @ 10:30 PM. Thursday, April 28, 2005. Originally uploaded by Emery Lee. Don't call it a comeback . . . . Tuesday, May 24, 2005. Cooler heads appear to have preailed in the Senate. I've never really believed that the nuclear option would happen, although in the past few days it has appeared more and more likely. If. This deal goes through, what will the political fall-out be? I'm not sure anyone really loses. Frist gets to demonstrate his conservative. Wait- Cheney loses the opportunity to do his presiding officer on the Titanic routine. So I guess maybe he loses? Unless I fi...

Freedom from Blog: June 2005

Don't call it a comeback . . . . Thursday, June 30, 2005. Posted by Number Three @ 8:31 PM. I've been thinking about Justice Scalia's emphasis on monotheism. Dissent. Why monotheism? Because it didn't exclude Jews. No more arguments that "we are a Christian nation." Instead, Judeo-Christian. Well, some of you may have noticed that we are fighting with some folks right now who happen to be, well, Muslim. And one thing Muslim enemies of the U.S. like to say is that the U.S. is anti-Islam. Does any reader o...

The Odds Are One. Phenomena observed occur with 100% probability. Monday, July 08, 2013. Well, They've Seen Us". Back in March, Randall Munroe posted to his webcomic, XKCD. Ofttimes a deep knowledge of coding, science-fiction/fantasy tropes, and/or general nerd culture are required to have any idea where lies the humor. And then there are the big things: a subway map of all of North America. A drag-able map of an enormous world of which the viewer can only see a tiny part at any one time. An initial read...

An NPR podcast hosted by a Television Without Pity alumnus that is fun, irreverent, and provides some good discussion on hot topics of the day. Not to be missed. Oh, and very gay. The Odds Are One. Phenomena observed occur with 100% probability. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. And The Worst Part Is, I Never Learned How To Read. Do you get tired while reading? Yep All my life. I'd never really noticed the first thing until Mrs. Transient Gadfly pointed out that I close one eye when reading in bed, which was apparently my main compensation mechanism (it works only passingly well, as I fall asleep almost comically fast while reading anyway).
