Wednesday, January 10, 2007. New Year and Lots to Anticipate. Hang on tight- 2007 is here and is going to be a big year for me! On January 18 I will turn 40. Sometime around that date, my daughter Hayden Grace will be born. She's not due until February 16, but after yesterday's doctor's visit, he thinks we have 1-2 weeks. Monday, October 25, 2010. First Christmas rehearsal for GCA. The center piece, Howells' Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis (Collegium Regale) will certainly be a challenge rhythmically and harmonically. The piece is not too long and should come along quickly after a few sectionals. Tonight we took a nearly complete read-through of the program in order. Last Sunday morning I was surprised to see Gordon College President Larry Weill and his wife Jennie as I wandered through the sanctuary on the way to Chancel Choir warm up. I greeted them briefly (because I was already late) and then quickly made my way back to the choir room. My head was spinning a little-. Is the Chancel Choir prepared to present a rousing rendition of "With a Voice of Singing? I hope the choir looks and sounds impressive.
