As Green As It Gets. Global Food for Thought. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). We're a couple of married twenty-somethings, who, in all honesty, have a pretty good life. But, like we've heard so many times as young people, "it's not all about us". So we're packing our bags and heading to Guatemala, where we hope to learn that lesson a little better and a whole lot more. http://theeverchanginglifeofamilitarywife.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Last Post of the Year. Like everyone else on New Years Eve, I'm reflecting on the past year. From all of the posts on Facebook, it seems everyone can't wait to say good bye to 2013 and start 2014. I feel the complete opposite. 2013 was the best year of my life and I'm sad that time is moving so quickly! On a happier note, here are some of the things Cooper has amazed us with lately:. Cooper gets his synagis shot on Thursday so I'll have a weight update them. For now here i...

Monday, May 30, 2011. Los Niños del Yalu. The adorable faces of Yalu. These kids are just too cute so I'll let them speak for themselves. Friday, May 27, 2011. The week in review. Here is the latest from this week in la vida de Los Brown. Its mango season in Guate which means you can buy a bag of 10 huge and delicious mangos for a whole $1.50. Why oh why are we leaving? http://thebrownios.blogspot.com/2011/10/poverty-bad-education-good.html
Sunday, October 2, 2011. Poverty = Bad / Education = Good! We hate poverty. We especially hate poverty that is caused by a lack of educational opportunities - like the poverty that the people in El Yalu, Guatemala experience on a daily basis. Did you know that:. Only 42% of rural Guatemalans finish primary school. Half the rate of urban children and 2nd lowest in the Latin America / Caribbean region. Guatemala is last in literacy rates in Latin America,. Any amount will help! Besides the obvious benefits...

Tuesday, July 30, 2013. He is still very tired today, but has only had a few episodes of dropping his blood oxygen level. Much better than yesterday and his color looks better too. He will probably be on the ventilator for a few more days. That rest must be doing him good because he gain again yesterday. He's up to 2 lbs 10 oz! Maybe the calories he will conserve by not having to breathe will help him reach 3 lbs soon! Links to this post. Sunday, July 28, 2013. Links to this post. Saturday, July 27, 2013.

http://theeverchanginglifeofamilitarywife.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 10, 2014. Favorite Things Friday - Baby Gear 0-3 Months. I know the are tons of lists of items needed for a new baby, but my list is specifically items that you don't think you really need, but that make life much easier! Obviously every new baby needs clothes, swaddles, diapers, bottles, etc, and we stocked up during the pregnancy. These are the items that didn't buy ahead of time because I thought I could make do without them. After bringing Cooper home, we ultimately got them. After a ...
