Our repertoire includes many favourite concert band pieces as well as novel and exciting arrangements of well and lesser known music of various styles. Performance programmes are tailored to the type of event, which can be anything from an indoor concert to a summer garden fete. Many popular tunes are grouped together in medleys, such as stage shows and film scores. Single melodies often feature a solo instrument. View (and listen to some) samples of our repertoire.

It is now half way through the summer season and having performed four concerts, two of them first time venues at the National Trust's Knole House in Sevenoaks, there remain three more on the calendar. We hope you can join us at one of these, Matfield Fete on 16 July, Eastbourne Bandstand on 7 August and Tonbridge Castle on 14 August. And if you play a wind instrument or are a percussion player and are interested in joining an active and friendly concert band do please get in touch via one of our Contacts.

Do you play a wind or percussion instrument? Do you want to play in a band? Second Wind is a mixed ability band and welcomes competent players. We currently have need for players in all sections. If you are interested in finding out more please get in touch with one of our contacts. A prospective new member will be invited to join in a few rehearsals after which the Musical Director and Committee will decide whether to invite him or her to join the band.
