I killed a rat with a stick once.". Sunday, September 15, 2013. According to Blogger, this is my 500th post. It's a random Sunday and the biggest event of the day has been a wave of grief I've had going off and on all day, missing my dad and having involuntary short sobs visiting me out of nowhere. Posted by Candy Rant @ 7:08 PM. Oh, my friend. { { hugs} }. Hope happier days are ahead. After reading post #500, I think your dad just paid you a visit. Wow I didnt think of that, MKW. http://candyrant.blogspot.com/2008/07/life-lesson-for-friday.html
I killed a rat with a stick once.". Friday, July 25, 2008. Life Lesson for a Friday. First, let me explain the picture. Now that we're all in a spiritual frame of mind, here is the lesson:. This is the funniest cat sto...

I killed a rat with a stick once.". Monday, July 31, 2006. Reasons I Do Not Want a Front-Butt *. Perhaps the less sophisticated reader is not familiar with the term "front-butt." Let me explain. It is a butt on the front of your body. A gut that has gotten so out of hand, so enamored with its own girth, that it has grown in such a way as to almost perfectly mirror the butt you have on the back of your body. It's just up a little higher. There. Now, REASONS I DON'T WANT A FRONT-BUTT:. 3 Your choice of pan...

The sarcastic musings of a graduate assistant teaching and trying to find the path to PhD-dom. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. The End of an Era. So my academic career here in far far west has concluded-today I gave my last final.* In my five years here I got an MA and survived a whole year of professing. I'm not sure which was harder. I must say I'm feeling rather nostalgic. I don't know if it is the massive amounts of wine I consumed over the weekend with Hubby and SMH. Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Since that will t...

http://lifebeforemasters.blogspot.com/2009/07/2-weeks-notice.html
The sarcastic musings of a graduate assistant teaching and trying to find the path to PhD-dom. Monday, July 13, 2009. Well it's almost August. that means it's time to quit whatever BS job I've managed to land to actually. Pay the bills and head back to another semester. This year is very exciting as I head east. Particularly since I have landed a pretty sweet TAship. I get to be the only instructor, but don't have the onus of creating daily lesson plans, much less a syllabus. July 13, 2009 at 9:15 PM.

Life Before Masters: December 2008
http://lifebeforemasters.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
The sarcastic musings of a graduate assistant teaching and trying to find the path to PhD-dom. Sunday, December 28, 2008. 14 hours of travel EACH way! And nothing to show for it! Well, I did see an old friend and got a very nice new purse from the in-laws. But don't know that it was worth the frustration of flying and numerous other petty disagreements. I finally made it back last night (at midnight instead of 6 pm) and ended up with a migraine today and a broken Internet. It's been a helluva month.
