Sunday, July 29, 2012. My First hearing Aid. I began to lose my hearing when I was a teen, in the late 90's. I took this picture in October of 2009. This is my first hearing aid. Why is this worth mention? Because for 10 years or more I couldn't hear well. I didn't know that corduroy pants made sounds when you walked. I couldn't hear birds, or oven buzzers or fire alarms. I was able to hear a mountain canary on a walk the following spring, and watching me react to that sound made my mother cry. It is sad...
