The Original Bean: July 2013
http://theoriginalbean.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Things would be a lot easier if I could get the hang out of either breastfeeding with no hands or phone-typing with one hand, but I'm adept at neither of those right now :). The Original Bean: Blink.
http://theoriginalbean.blogspot.com/2014/05/blink.html
Thursday, May 22, 2014. Milk calms the savage beast, and she quiets, stills, begins to accept the fact that night has come, bedtime is upon us, and we must separate for a few hours. She drinks lazily, knowing that slow sips will delay the inevitable. Even then, I see her eyes grow heavy and flutter closed. I cuddle her close and breathe deeply. May 22, 2014 at 3:32 PM. May 28, 2014 at 10:54 AM. Ahhh damn it Jene, I am crying. Beautiful. June 1, 2014 at 2:02 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Original Bean: World Breastfeeding Week
http://theoriginalbean.blogspot.com/2010/08/world-breastfeeding-week.html
Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Did you know it's World Breastfeeding Week. As a mother and a breastfeeding advocate this is a topic that's dear to my heart. What you feed your baby is obviously a personal decision, but I truly believe that women owe it to themselves and to their babies to at least give it a shot. If you try it and it doesn't work out, then that's one thing. But to not try it at all? They finally sent us home and I got to bring my very own personal Medela PISA. That was hitting the big time!

The Original Bean: Em on the Move
http://theoriginalbean.blogspot.com/2014/06/em-on-move.html
Thursday, June 26, 2014. Em on the Move. Since I haven't blogged regularly in a million years, I haven't shared anything about Em's gross motor issues. I'm putting this here because I know others who are dealing with similar issues, and I don't have to keep typing it over and over if it's all in one place :). Charlie wasn't an early crawler, but he started army crawling and then "real" crawling right before 8 months, which is pretty typical. That I found on the internet. Isn't technology great? Biggest s...

The Original Bean: Let's Get This Party Started
http://theoriginalbean.blogspot.com/2014/05/lets-get-this-party-started.html
Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Let's Get This Party Started. This week begins my first serious attempt to get to Boston. I'm using the plan outlined in the FIRST program, the BQ-version of the marathon training program that I've used to take 34 minutes off since I ran my first 26.2. They say it best - "The Road to Boston is Steeper.". May 28, 2014 at 12:44 PM. June 25, 2014 at 1:11 PM. I like that you set a goal. I hope it pans out. June 26, 2014 at 1:59 PM. The Original Bean: August 2013
http://theoriginalbean.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 23, 2013. It's funny how when you're waiting for something time passes by at a snail's pace. Life these days, on the other hand, is whizzing past faster than I could have ever imagined. In some ways it feels like an eternity ago that I sat here and talked about how nervous I was for my induction and how excited I was to finally meet Baby Em - in the sense that I feel like I've always known her and that I can't remember what life was like Before. The Original Bean: Parenting Truth
http://theoriginalbean.blogspot.com/2013/09/parenting-truth.html
Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Em is a huge fan. Charlie was an even bigger fan, back in his day. - - see what I did there? September 3, 2013 at 11:32 PM. Good one - I never thought of that comparison. Bake Something New Every Month. Bake a Successful Cheesecake. Try Something New Every Week. Week, but so far I've tried a few red wines. Still not a fan), mushroom risotto, and Parrano cheese. Does trying the new Crispin Honeycrisp Cider count? Since then, I've added asparagus, pumpkin soup, and whiskey. I could do without the whiskey. That shit burns! Run a 5K in 24 minutes or less. Did you know that for qualifying purposes, the Boston Marathon rounds your time DOWN to the minute? Yoga Once a Week.
