Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Light Painting Tutorial at the Windsor Dragway. This photo was much simpler. This is just one, 30 second exposure, no Photoshop. I simply used a Maglite flashlight and coloured gels. I clicked the shutter and "painted" the left side of the room with green, then quickly switched to blue and painted the other side. I like the quality of light that the flashlight gives because its not as hard and shadowy as using a single burst from a flash. Click "Add Open Files". Well that's it ...

Wednesday, August 21, 2013. It had been well over 20 years since I had last been to Boblo Island. Back then it was a fully operational amusement park. Recently, a couple friends ( 23 Photography. And I spent the day exploring and photographing what is left of the island's former glory. The Mini Golf Course. Inside the small shed on the ferry dock. The former roller rink turned theatre. (Infrared). The Lighthouse on the South end of the island. The bridge/tunnel of the Antique Car track.

I know I did a photo of a spider already this year, however, that was just a random pic I took after I bought my macro lens. This little, strike that, this big spider was found on the swing set of my buddy's kid. It was huge. At least as far as spiders we see around here goes. Area 53 - Photo of the Week. Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Area 53 (2011) - Photo 07 - Super Icicle. My photo of the week is an icicle hanging from my buddy's eavestrough on his back porch. I flashed a little light on it while shooting with an open exposure. It was way too cold and the space was too limited with my tripod to get what I was hoping to achieve, but I'm happy with this as my best result. You can't really see the size of the icicle in this picture, but it's honestly between 3-4 feet long.

Sunday, March 22, 2015. I know I've been neglecting this blog, as usual. But I figured I'd update it a little with my best photos from this past year. In July I finally got to see the Canadian Rockies. I flew to Edmonton to be the photographer for a friends wedding, then spent about a week camping in Jasper National Park. I also took the amazing drive down the Ice Fields Parkway to Banff. Shooting the sunset over the Tonquin Valley in Jasper. The Sunrise at Jasper Lake. 5:03am. Sunrise at Jasper Lake.
