About the Seed of Hope. About the Seed of Hope. The Seed of Hope sculpture is a symbol of hope and healing for patients at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. On each patient’s final day of active treatment, we present him or her with two seed-shaped tokens. One token is placed in the sculpture as a celebration of survivorship. The second token is taken with them to keep or to pass along as a symbol of hope to someone else facing a challenge. Select type of cancer. B cell MALT lymphoma.

When you’re going through cancer treatment you have to keep your chin up and do what your doctors tell you. I was diagnosed five years ago with osteosarcoma, and now I’m looking forward to enjoying the rest of my life.
