A Little Less Conversation. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Laquo; Day 4. We left two hours ago and are stuck amid giant semi trucks. We might be here a while longer still. A Little Less Conversation. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Laquo; Day 2. These roosters, I’m tellin’ ya! Barking from 2am to sunrise. Unreal! Cocks aside, today was quite productive. Woke up at 7:00am (which is a little late for me, haha). We ate breakfast, scrambled eggs with onions, tomatoes, and peppers. Tasted great with that delightful hot sauce (see pic below). We left the house at 7:30 and headed to the border. Once we got there we got to work right away. Market Day at the Haitian border.

With the occasional – albeit clichéd – solitary tear running down my face, I reflect on the past week. We accomplished a great deal, and I’m infinitely proud of our team and the work we did. A Little Less Conversation. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Laquo; … a little more action! Today, we flew out of Newark, nonstop to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. We’re spending the night at the Foundation’s DR headquarters and leaving for Jimani – near the Haitian border – at 7 AM tomorrow. It’s very humid here and we’ve got about 15 volunteers sleeping outside under the stars. Everyone’s quite friendly and eager for this adventure. Sis on the plane, reflecting on what she's undertaking.
