Bishop Lee Rayfield Leadership Training Centre. A New Take on Suffering. 8203;Thoughts from Marianne. It's not a very popular topic, but I've been thinking a lot about suffering. In particular, I've been thinking about why Christians not only do. Suffer, but according to the Bible, we must. Over the fallen state of this world, and our own flesh. Loving God involves grieving for our world - for broken relationships, destroyed environments, wayward or oppressive governments, traumatized or apathetic so...

Bishop Lee Rayfield Leadership Training Centre. We're still behind on ministry related posts, but here's a shorter post on life with Elias - with lots of pictures, because who can resist cute pictures of babies? Isn't that (and cute cat/dog pictures) pretty much what the internet is about? Ever since we brought Elias home in May of this year, we've had a lot of visits to make! So many people for him to meet, and so many new things to experience. He has met tall people and small people:. They were very ex...

Posted by Chris and Julee. Friday, July 24, 2015. June 2014 Park Adventures. June 2014 saw us going to lots of parks, as usual. And, yep. Sorry. I don't show up in many photos these days, so sometimes I have to resort to selfies, to prove that I was there. Sometimes Sam brings a book to the park and reads for awhile.

Sunday, October 26, 2014. Lego Exhibit at Science World. They had a Lego exhibit at our local science centre in the early spring, so of course we had to go and check it out. Lego steam engine boat. There were places to build your own cars, too. Abigail was somewhat amused by the Lego, but not nearly as amused as she was at the water station. Check this out, Mom. I'm goin' in! Momentarily distracted by something else. Aaaaaaand, back to the water. Some frustration occurred when she couldn't actually.

Monday, April 21, 2014. February Outside Stuff with Extended Family. Outside play with cousins and grandparents when they came to visit. Lots of hopscotch - with exciting shapes! Look out, Grammie! Well, that was fun. What should we do now? Poor Grammie seemed to get cast in the role of Darth Maul. A lot - not that she had any idea who that was - but she was a good sport about it, and she was even pretty feisty! Posted by Chris and Julee. Monday, April 07, 2014. Evelyn Sings and Dances. Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Ice at Queen Elizabeth Park. On the day that Sam came down with the stomach flu, I stayed home with him while Chris took the rest of the kids, with my sister Natalee, and my mom, to Queen Elizabeth park, where the pond had frozen over. Obviously they ignored the danger signs. Eh heh. (Chris assured me that it was absolutely frozen solid and the pond was very shallow to begin with.). Jonathan: Focused and determined. Evelyn: A stalwart member of her team. Posted by Chris and Julee.

Chris and Julee Blogging: December 2013
http://chrisandjulee.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. In early December, Abigail turned one. She continues to be a happy, easy-going little baby who seems to be moving into toddlerhood at a rapid pace. For instance, I found her sitting cross-legged with her cup of Cheerios just the other day, and thought it made her look so "grown-up.". Of course, putting things into containers is also an enjoyable pastime. Like piling her bean bags into a wicker basket and then carrying it around. Other words, used spontaneously, include: "mama,...

Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Kayaking with Friends from Church in June 2014. Kayaking on a rainy day with some friends from church. Sam in the blue Adidas sweater, and Evelyn in the pink monkey shirt. Evelyn snuggled up with our friend Sulan in her sweater. She managed a smile or two, even in the midst of the drips. Jonathan was a happy guy despite the rain, particularly so when it is was his turn for a spin with our friend John. Posted by Chris and Julee. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Beach in June 2014. So much time at the beach last summer. Abigail tries to shovel up the ocean. Evelyn pauses to avoid the floating seaweed. Bag o' sand toys, scattered on the beach. Jonathan plays with our friend John's childhood Tonka truck! Look, Mom. I'm sandy! Might as well lie down in it. Might as well sit in it. Might as well dump it on my head. Meanwhile, on this day, Evelyn remained unsure about taking off her high-fashion Crocs and socks. There I am again.

Monday, September 27, 2010. Friday, September 24, 2010. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. What do women want? I don't know if women are looking for that perfect guy who is in the romantic movies who knows exactly the right words to say with the perfect muscles and smile or the nice, normal guy. Something else I have noticed is so many girls who go for complete jerks but have the excuse of "I really care about them". Why on earth would you care about someone who could give a crap about you? Another Food Blog From Home and Abroad, including recipes that nourish and inspire. Monday, July 27, 2015. In Bolivia, we use mennonite cheese (farmer's cheese) for this recipe and honestly without that cheese it will never be exactly like the original but you do what you can. I've been hunting down a similar cheese in the U.S. for ages but the closest I can get to it is to use the queso blanco or fresco and add some more salt (or even mix some feta into it). Preheat oven to 305 degrees. Crumble the chee...
