Who Are the Pilgrims? Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Makes me want to re-read some of my old favorites, like. The Witch of Blackbird Pond. I realize that the primary memories I have of those books are very sensory. Colors and light and warmth. It is getting cold now, and I imagine that were I deep in Blackbird Pond. I would be smelling hay, drinking the same bright spring sun that matched Nat's hair with the hay, watching his wide white grin and strong arms and thinking of my own gold-haired boy.
