My grandmother passed away in 2008. While not a runner, she was the epitome of active. Being of modest means, she left each of her grandchildren $100 in her will. The La Luz Trail Race. And so my ‘training’ ensued. With other race commitments and travel plans this summer, I only made the accent up the trail three more times before race day.
