Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Name This Plant: Celosia "Twisted". I first saw this plant in Ghana at the Cocoa Research Institute and snapped this picture. It did not occur to me that I could do a Name This Plant with it until I happened upon the same plant in Whole Foods just a few weeks back and was provided the name. Otherwise it would have been hard to google red squiggly flower and find the name. Surprisingly, in addition to being decorative, celosia is also edible. According to Wikipedia. So now you know.

Monday, November 24, 2014. Apparently, I Am an Event Planner Now. A little over a week ago, [Business School Employer] hosted it's annual International Night. Running this event falls under my job description. The [Business School Employer] International Night is the only International Night event on campus and is open to the public, so it is actually a pretty large event. Friday, November 22, 2013. While we were being led by our guide/hostage in Algeria, the boss pointed out a beautiful view ahead of us. Our guide/hostage tried to explain to us what we were seeing. However, we couldn't understand the word she was using. She started to draw in the air with her fingers, so I handed her my note pad. And then, we immediately knew what it was.
