Running While Mommy: May 2015
http://runningwhilemommy.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 9, 2015. I don't want to write this post. I don't want to relive the disappointment. In fact, I wanted to call this post, 5K's Suck. But I just can't be that negative. I am not one who is usually hard on herself, but today put me over the edge. The Narrow River 5K is a local race, just a few miles away from where I live. Part of this course I run daily. This was my fourth year running. Every year, I have had a course PR, but a sub 30 has alluded me at this race every year. I was sure I coul...

Running While Mommy: November 2014
http://runningwhilemommy.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 23, 2014. It's no secret that I love running in skirts. That wasn't always the case. When I first stared running, I didn't even know there was such a thing. A skirt made for running didn't make sense to me. As I was "becoming" a runner, I read books, blogs and random FB posts all about running. I started seeing more and more women running in skirts. They all looked damn cute too! I don't know how I discovered Skirt Sports. Now, the skirt is only as good as the shorts underneath. If t...

Running While Mommy: August 2015
http://runningwhilemommy.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Week Two of Marathon Training. Well, I completed week two of training and it has some good and one really bad run. My long run this week was twelve miles. I have the choice of doing my long runs on Sunday or Monday. Once the kids are back in school they will all be Monday but right now, most of them are Sunday. So, instead of taking a step back after running the Blessing on Friday. And doing my long run on Monday, I headed out early on Sunday. On Tuesday, I took a Total Sculpt cl...

Running While Mommy: Our Run with the Iron Cowboy
http://runningwhilemommy.blogspot.com/2015/07/our-run-with-iron-cowboythe.html
Saturday, July 11, 2015. Our Run with the Iron Cowboy. Monday was an exceptionally fun night for George, myself and a few friends. Thanks to our running buddy Diane, I learned about the Iron Cowboy. The Iron Cowboy is James Lawrence. He is doing 50 Ironman's, in 50 days, in 50 states. He is raising awareness about childhood obesity and you can learn more about him here. After we finished the run, Steph and I grabbed coffee and sat on the wall to watch the Iron Cowboy and crew swim. It was a very cool...

http://runningwhilemommy.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 27, 2014. One Bridge and 3500 of my Closest Friends. The Citizen's Bank Pell Bridge Run has been on my calendar for the last four years. I starting running in 2011 and that was also the first year of this race. I knew I had to do it. I loved every minute of that first time and knew I would go back every year that I could. Sunday, I ran it for the fourth time. You can read here. About the first time I ran this race. I think I have come a long way as a runner and a blogger. It took us 2:19 ...

Running While Mommy: Marathon Training Begins
http://runningwhilemommy.blogspot.com/2015/07/marathon-training-begins.html
Saturday, July 18, 2015. I am just a day away from starting marathon training. Day one is July 19th to be exact. This time around it is eighteen weeks. I will have two twenty milers and five eighteen mile runs. Did you just throw up a little? I know I did. Could it be that simple? As most of you know, my first marathon. I finished that race in 5:23:23. So, naturally, my goal for my second Philadelphia marathon is sub five hours. It's a big goal. Big enough that I enlisted a little help. My goal is big, a...

Running While Mommy: February 2015
http://runningwhilemommy.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Winter, It's Not Me, It's You. It finally hit me. I have been fine. I have been bundling up, wearing my Yaktrak, smiling and taking pictures and averaging fourteen miles a week. That is, until this week. And on Wednesday, it hit 30 degrees. A freaking heat wave here in Rhode Island and I still didn't run! I have be eyeing a half marathon in April, but if I don't get some decent long runs in, it just won't happen. Maybe I should just pull the plug and register? Mr RWM and I d...
