The trials and tribulations of writer Stacey Turner. Wednesday, April 8, 2015. And this is why my head will never get too big. I've been thinking about this a lot lately and wondering how it works for other writers. Who is your biggest supporter? What do your spouse and children think of what you do? I have some fantastic friends who follow my career and buy my books and tolerate my weirdness. But my immediate family? How does that even happen? So how goes it at your house? Enquiring minds want to know.

Bun in a Borrowed Oven: Just one week pre transfer!
http://buninaborrowedoven.blogspot.com/2014/12/just-one-week-pre-transfer.html
Bun in a Borrowed Oven. My journey as a surrogate. Friday, December 12, 2014. Just one week pre transfer! So we transfer a week from tomorrow and I'm scared, nervous, excited, nauseous, and stunned. All of those things in one big knot in my stomach. I've never felt so pressured to perform in my life. Especially with something I have so little control over, well, okay, no control over. C'mon uterus, don't fail me now! So I'm just going to try to breathe deep, relax, and maybe have a few drinks this weekend.

What Spot Saw...: May 2010
http://whatspotsaw.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
A blog about what movies I watch and what I think about them. Because everyone wants my opinion, don't they? Saturday, May 22, 2010. Iron Man 2.10 out of 10. Last Tuesday night Sean and I went to see Iron Man 2. I was torn between wanting to see it and wanting to see the new Robin Hood. We went with Iron Man, and boy am I glad. It was amazing. I love movies that are funny, action-packed and star studded. So I'm easy to please? The first Iron Man was great. Robert Downey. Jr and Gwenyth Paltrow. I've hear...

Bun in a Borrowed Oven: Got my schedule!
http://buninaborrowedoven.blogspot.com/2015/02/got-my-schedule.html
Bun in a Borrowed Oven. My journey as a surrogate. Thursday, February 5, 2015. But the appointment is made! March 2nd I'll breeze down to St. Louis bright and early in the morning to get my fluid ultrasound. The receptionist thought she was doing me a favor by offering me the "late" appointment- 9:15am. And I guess she is, could have been 8am. But 9:15 still means I leave my house at 6am. Have I mentioned I'm not a morning person? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bun in a Borrowed Oven: Finally, some news!

Bun in a Borrowed Oven. My journey as a surrogate. Friday, January 23, 2015. Finally, some news! Well, I finally have some news on the surrogacy front. My IM had a meeting with the RE and she (the RE) felt the transfer failed due to the frozen donor eggs. She said everything on my part looked wonderful (whew! Both transfers have resulted in pregnancies, and both in twins! Thanks for keeping up with me. ;). March 11, 2015 at 8:58 AM. Picture me at the end of that pier with you. Surros in waiting. ...And t...

The trials and tribulations of writer Stacey Turner. Tuesday, June 4, 2013. What's a zombie fan to do in the down time between Walking Dead seasons? Summer of Zombies tour! It's that time of year again when the zombies come out to play. I mean zombie authors, of course. I've got a guest blog today from zombie author, Kirk Allmond. Bun in a Borrowed Oven: December 2014
http://buninaborrowedoven.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Bun in a Borrowed Oven. My journey as a surrogate. Sunday, December 28, 2014. This has been a rough week. Losing a family member is hard. Losing them suddenly is awful. He was my closest uncle. Only ten years older than I. I have so many great memories and I'm so thankful my sister and I got some time alone in his room to remember them out loud and let him know that we loved him and will miss him. I hope that he heard us. Since then I've done seven, three different brands, all negative. Then they wheeled...

Bun in a Borrowed Oven: Transfer day!!
http://buninaborrowedoven.blogspot.com/2015/04/transfer-day.html
Bun in a Borrowed Oven. My journey as a surrogate. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. So transfer day was last Wednesday, April 15th. My IPs took me to St. Louis to have the transfer. I teased my husband before hand that if I got pregnant, I'd be able to tell people he wasn't even present for the conception. He said that was good, he was going to tell everyone it wasn't his, that he suspected it was P's (our IF). Bwahaha! DR: I don't think pregnancy humor would be good, because what if the transfer didn't take?
