Our Adoption Adventure: March 2011
http://ouradventurethroughadoption.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. This wait is torture! Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Step one was getting our license. We were approved on March 22nd! Step two was getting approved to have two kids, even though we are a little short on space. That was approved yesterday (March 29th). As I have mentioned I am a mess. The suspense and all of this waiting is killing me! Patience has never been a strong point for me. I want to puke. I can not handle waiting this long to hear what it going to happen next! I thought tod...

Our Adoption Adventure: July 2011
http://ouradventurethroughadoption.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 28, 2011. Some days are fine, and some days I am consumed by our foster situation! I would say we get 3 days a week to ourselves. No phone calls, no visits, no appointments, and so on. The other four days can be draining! I wonder how, or why people foster! During the first two weeks, I wanted to run in the opposite direction and never look back! Now it's hard in a different way. There are days we wonder if our situation makes it harder. These are our sons siblings! It's hard to admit, and...

January 20th 2009: We had our orientation. 6th 2009: We sent in our pre-application. February 10th 2009: We got our big packet in the mail. It’s the full application. Our Adoption Adventure: Our Family
http://ouradventurethroughadoption.blogspot.com/p/our-family.html
Jennifer: I am the main person to write on this blog, although Joe says we will sometime. I am newly 30, a child loving nanny, and a new mother. I met Joe in 2002, and we got married in 2006. Joe: My super funny, prankster husband is 34, and works in the optical field. He is a very hard worker, and outgoing father. Joe and I are very much alike in our personalities, and we complement each other perfectly in our differences. Alex: Is 1, and could not fit into our family any better, if he were from our DNA!

Our Adoption Adventure: February 2011
http://ouradventurethroughadoption.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 21, 2011. As easy as 1.2.3.4.5! We try to push the chairs under the table, but he can pull them right back out! I can not believe the strength our little boy has in his arms! Look at him go! Monday, February 14, 2011. We had our first house visit, and we were worried that we were not going to qualify to have 2 kids because of how small our house is. The next day we got a call saying that it's been worked out, and it looks like we can move ahead as planned. After a very busy morning, my l...

Our Adoption Adventure: September 2011
http://ouradventurethroughadoption.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 26, 2011. Things have slowly falling apart here for a few weeks now, but we just keep working on putting things back together. I started my new hours a few weeks ago, and it's not going as well as I had hoped for. My three don't get along that well when left alone, and so this leaves me very little time to get things done. Although I am home with them from 7am-10:30am, I can hardly leave the room they are in for more than a few minutes. Right now I hear "Is this mine? Princess" has her ...

Our Adoption Adventure: May 2011
http://ouradventurethroughadoption.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 18, 2011. We have not gotten too many crazy questions yet, so I am glad about that! The second day the kids were home we took our family of 5 out to the store and the cashier said "wow, looks like you just had them one after another! I replied with "something like that". Sometimes I have no idea what to say. When do we tell our story, when do we just brush it off? How do we explain our family to people? Do we have to say Alex is adopted? Do we have to explain how they are related? There is...
