Kate n Libby ~ Design Divas: Make New Friends
http://katenlibby.blogspot.com/2013/03/make-new-friends.html
Wednesday, March 13, 2013. The group of ladies who participated in the last block exchange, with those gorgeous batiks, decided they wanted to do another exchange. We will do a traditional Bull’s Eye Block pattern. The only controlled item will be the background. Otherwise…it’s anything goes on the fabrics. We will use material from our…. stashes – what? Who has one of those? And how many fabrics do we have that we just had to have but never have used? This reminds me of that old scouting song:.

http://katenlibby.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 29, 2012. Kate is wonderful about keeping up with our blog. I did want to share my day today. Had a baby shower to attend for a young couple in our neighborhood. They have both served as Captains in the. Army in Afghanistan. We are grateful for their service and are glad they are home safe and part of our wonderful community. Just wanted to show you my gifts - of course a quilt! And my first attempt at a knitted baby sweater! I am quilting tomorrow - are you? Elizabeth ( aka Libby).

A Walk Across the Giant. Day Hikes Here and There. Sunday, March 6, 2011. I just don't know what to wear! It's been a tough winter - more snow that I can remember. And while hiking through nearly three feet of fresh powder was fun, the crusty stuff has put a damper on my hikes the last weeks/months. But I have just a few trail sections to finish at Sleeping Giant, and just a few weekends to do it before winter is over. Once out of the car and onto the trail, the snow was gone! A Walk Across the Giant: October 2010

A Walk Across the Giant. Day Hikes Here and There. Sunday, October 31, 2010. The Legend of Mad Mare's Hill. Gather round, my fainthearted friends. Its a Halloween tale of ghosts and ghouls and the Mad Mare of Hamdens Hills. She was a monster, black as night, standing 16 hands high. Bred of Mustang and Shire Horse, she was wild and ill-tempered. With a chilling whinny, an ear splitting neigh, she goes mad on Halloween night, terrorizing any who are fool enough to cross her hill. Links to this post.

A Walk Across the Giant: Quinnipiac Trail - West Woods detour
http://hikethegiant.blogspot.com/2011/11/quinnipiac-trail-west-woods-detour.html
A Walk Across the Giant. Day Hikes Here and There. Saturday, November 5, 2011. Quinnipiac Trail - West Woods detour. An alternate route around the mess. The original and detour routes make a loop hike I've done a lot - this time I took pictures. Until then, just follow Mt Carmel up the road and cross onto West Woods Rd. A barge canal then railroad that's been turned into a hike and bike path. Hike along an old woods road, and then turn onto the smaller blue blazed path. The trail continues up and along t...
