Life With The Strunks. Sunday, August 9, 2009. THE TURTLE RACE and TREY'S 1ST DAY OF SCHOOL. I am finally posting a picture of Trey on his first day of 4th grade. So far so good. He is just trying to get used to getting up so early. Yesterday after running the 5k race we went to see our turtle race. It didn't win but the money went to a good cause. Well, after 2 weeks without internet, our modem has been replaced and we are back in the game! I am desperately trying to get caught up on here, and can't quite do that until I get finished with our beach trip. This post is of days 3 and 4. More fun in the pool. Emerson loves the beach! I don't know what they were saying to each other here, but I don't think it was nice!

The week before school started, we had open house at the school to meet the kids' teachers. I can't believe it is time to have 2 kids in elementary school. We have taken our sweet time moving Emerson out of his crib and into a big boy bed. He loves his crib, and has always been such a great sleeper (since he turned 1), that I didn't want to mess with success! I had no idea how he would do.
