City's case against Kervin/Taylor dismissed. An Elmore County circuit judge has dismissed the City of Tallassee's request for a declaratory judgment on the mayoral candidacies of Jeanna Kervin and Trey Taylor. Submitted By: The Elmore County Commission. The Elmore County Commission will host a rededication ceremony of the 9-11 Memorial on Monday, Sept. 12 in observance of Patriot Day. This year marks 15 years since Sept. 11, 2001. During the ceremony, we will remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001, mourn the lives lost that day, and honor the service members deployed to protect us. The Commission has also allotted plenty of space on the memorial to add additional names in the future.
