Sporanski drives on three omniwheels with radial axes. The omniwheels are driven by Sanyo Denki 103-770-1640 stepper motors with Maximum current: 1.41A and torque 0.62Nm. The XBee is an RF module using the zigbee protocol (Home Automation 1.0 profile). The author of the present webpage was responsible for security reviews of the zigbee protocol. The rotor of a stepper motor has a rim of (typically 100) alternating permanent magnetic bipoles with radial dipole moment. The stator consists of several coils arranged radially around the rotor which form also magnetic dipoles as long as they conduct a current. For the functionality of the stepper motor, only the attraction / rejection of the magentic poles on the rotor rim and the nearest magnetic poles on the stator is relevant. The picture is an R-plot.
