The Watchtower

Moro - West Face. Moro - South Face. Moro - East Face. From Lodgepole take the Tokopah Falls trail east for 1.7 miles. At or near the end of the trail cross the river to its south side and scramble up to the base. If the riever is too high to cross it is possible, but not enjoyable, to go cross country from the parking lot to The Watchtower along the southern bank of the river.

Danland

Danland is located on the Mineral King road and is an outstanding new addition to SEKI climbing. It is one of the few year-round crags and, while most areas are mixed, Danland is predominantly high quality cracks of all shapes and sizes. All of the routes have been pioneered by retired ranger Dan Dellinges and various friends. He did not coin the name but it comes with good reason. Hand drilled, ground up first ascents are the name of the game and they are well protected and very well done.

Out of respect for the person working on a new guidebook for Kings Canyon I'm going to hold off on updating this area for now. There is sparse info in the 1993 "Southern Sierra Rock Climbing: Sequoia and Kings Canyon" guide, on Summitpost. But there are over 200 routes in the canyon. Feel free to shoot me a message if you're planning a trip and have any questions! Sorry, I only made this page so I wouldn't keep getting asked why I haven't updated it. Little Baldy

Little Baldy lies just off of the General's Highway about 6 miles north of Lodgepole if you come up the 198 through Three Rivers. Coming from the north on the 180 it's a couple miles south of Dorst Creek campground. The best approach is from a large turnout just south of the Little Baldy trailhead where you can see the rock up the hill. Pick the route of least resistance up to the base. Tokopah Wall

Moro - West Face. Moro - South Face. Moro - East Face. Hike the Tokopah Falls trail out of Lodgepole all the way to its end. Make your way up through the boulder field and skirt the lower cliff band on it's right. From there, head up and left towards the base sniffing out the easiest path. To descend, head west towards Horse Creek and follow it back to the trail.
