Who cares where the plant comes from, as long as it does well and looks nice? The issue is that a plant such as potato vine, kudzu, water hyacinth or pampas grass, in its native habitat grows under certain constraints: soil composition and nutrients, wind, rainfall, temperature, sun or shade, humidity.
