Famous early players were: Dušana Arneri, Rafo Ivančević, Jozo and Mile Fazinić, Stijepo Marinović and Mladen Foretić. Mačevalački ples Kumpanjija ili ples od boja prenosi tradiciju narodne vojske koja je nekada čuvala mjesto. Podvodni život otoka Korčule.
