Zoe Boutique: August 2013
http://zoeboutique.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 29, 2013. College Football season kicked off tonight and I could not be more excited! Probably my favorite sport, it combines optimism, hard work, joy, passion, and an all around good time. But what does this have to do with fashion? A boutique in a college town, however, must do their buying with the local University in mind! I immediately asked in the comments if they took phone orders and they confirmed that they did and would ship to me! Like Sonia Says, Zoe does phone orders too!

Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Saying Goodbye: Q&A with Jim (Susan's Husband). Susan's husband Jim chimes in with his own special Q&A on the blog today. Did you know that he has one other appearance on the blog? He subjected himself to an interview. After accompanying Susan on a buying trip to NYC last year! Q You were responsible for Susan creating Zoe – why did you think this would be a great fit for her? Q What’s the most beautiful item that you’ve ever seen at Zoe? That’s a tough one! If so, how? Susan has...

Zoe Boutique: April 2013
http://zoeboutique.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 14, 2013. I occasionally have the privilege of giving a ride to an older woman in my church. She (like my mother) does not drive and although our public transportation in the DC area is fantastic, it does not run frequently enough on Sunday mornings to get her there on time. It reminds me of the power suits I would wear when I worked! You know, there were some days that you just had to look really good! Not what you are wearing. When in doubt, try it out! A few years ago, I had a major talk...

Zoe Boutique: What I’ll Love
http://zoeboutique.blogspot.com/2014/05/what-ill-love.html
Friday, May 23, 2014. What I’ll Love. Owning a business is truly a labor of love. And while it has brought me much happiness, there are a few things I won’t miss once Zoe closes on June 8, 2014 (and some things I’ll get to enjoy! 2) Worrying about the Weather. 3) Holidays with my Family. 4) Bad Practices by Vendors. Ah, but the lessons I’ve learned….look forward to that post in the next week as well as continuing perspective on life at Zoe from those who have been part of the journey! Labels: What I Love.

Zoe Boutique: September 2013
http://zoeboutique.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 25, 2013. District Sample Sale - The Recap. On Monday, I posted about Zoe's invitation. To the District Sample Sale. Today I give you a recap of the event! If you remember my planning for the Old Town Alexandria Warehouse Sale. You know that I always have a checklist. This event was no different. And it was slightly more challenging because I was unfamiliar with the event, the venue, and the logistics. So the checklist was a must! Note - Jim has often said things similar to what Tara...

Zoe Boutique: April 2014

Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Zoe is Proud to Sponsor Listen To Your Mother DC. One of the best parts of having Zoe is seeing how many amazing relationships and friendships have developed over the years. One such relationship is with Kate Hood, co-producer of the Listen to Your Mother DC show, which features live readings by local writers on “the beauty, the beast and the barely-rested life of mothers.”. Kathlin provided Kate with the information on the store event and Kate wrote an amazing blog post. The 2...

Zoe Boutique: A Different Point of View
http://zoeboutique.blogspot.com/2013/08/a-different-point-of-view.html
Thursday, August 8, 2013. A Different Point of View. This past weekend was not only Jim's first trip to New York but also the first time he had seen me "at work". He provides his point of view in today's blog post. This was your first trip to New York City. What did you like best about it? Getting to see you in your role as "the buyer". I never could really understand this process without seeing it first hand. I was really impressed with your reps and their presentations. And all of them have road rage!
