Monday, May 16, 2005. And the view from up here is. I have a heart condition. It means I can no longer do strenuous hikes. That sucks because I used to like them. The view from the top of a mountain is wonderful. I have been on many, including the tallest in the lower 48, Mt. Whitney. It is the peak experience that I crave. Not the rush of reaching the top. It never occurred to me that it was might be unusual to be able to walk three or four blocks in any direction from the heart of our town and find yourself looking at some of the most beautiful farmland in the country. She's almost six months pregnant and shows no signs of changing her mind about the whole thing. And not just her body.
