Amongst all the things that have been going on lately with the horses, I have managed to get some work done on the French quilt, some much awaited peiced star blocks. A week up at Port allowed me to sit quietly and draft up a block, then cut out and hand stitch it together, even taking piccies along the way. At work we have been busy dying a lovely new yarn from New Zealand, it is Kakadu.

A few years ago I came across the first range to arrive in Australia, I was totally hooked. I ordered a good slab of each fabric that took my eye and then a few metres of the above linnen, that came in rolls and was essentially a tea towel. This is a labour of love and a long term project.
