At some nests, we place camera traps to identify the main predators. This is an important aspect of our work, since the videos produced provide justification for modelling particular visual systems, since different predators might perceive colour quite differently to one another. Currently we have evidence that these nest predators come from groups of animals that have three of the main kinds of visual systems found in animals: dichromats, trichromats and tetrachromats.
