taichifox: 26-Apr-2014
http://taichifox.blogspot.com/2014_04_26_archive.html
Saturday, April 26, 2014. I have become rather obsessed about making wall hangings, it's the perfect way to show off beautiful printed fabrics. Here's one I made a while ago featuring the lovely Lumimarja print designed by Erja Hirvi from Marimekko (which we bought back in 2012, yikes). This comes in many colourways but we chose the grey/yellow/white version. Any excuse to use the staple gun really =). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Flicks Margaret and David. Sartorial Splendour: A Stitch in Time Saves Nine
http://sartorialsplendour.blogspot.com/2006/08/stitch-in-time-saves-nine.html
Monday, August 28, 2006. A Stitch in Time Saves Nine. On Flygirl's request, here are my five places in time that I cherish. Between the ages of five and six my family lived in Greece. My sister was slightly older, and my brother was just a little tyke. We lived in the village my parents had grown up in in northwestern Greece, close to the city of Yannina. Things I remember about this time. Catching fireflies in jars and eating the sweetest watermelon in summer. Ferry trips to the island of Lefkada. The b...

Sartorial Splendour: A little Magic
http://sartorialsplendour.blogspot.com/2006/08/little-magic.html
Thursday, August 03, 2006. It was my birthday this monday, July 31st 1978. Yup, 28 years old. I have a theory about this, odd number year's really suck. Even year's, fantastic. So bring it on! I'm so glad to put the past year behind me, and relish the opportunities the new year will bring. Did you know that July 31st is also Harry Potter's birthday? Yup, and I like him, like to think that I bring a little magic into people's lives. Para; 2:09 PM. Here's to enjoying your even numbered year ahead ;-).

Sartorial Splendour: The best street in melbourne
http://sartorialsplendour.blogspot.com/2006/08/best-street-in-melbourne.html
Saturday, August 12, 2006. The best street in melbourne. Ok, so I began housesitting with my sister for some friend's of ours who have gone overseas for three months. We are in a huge Victorian terrace on what is our favourite street in Mebourne. Sure it has it's fair share of moneyed professionals, but most of them are not so bad. (Although, that said, I did see a woman today in a lemon yellow skintight tracksuit paired with scarf, chichi handbag and Louboutin heels, ack! Like today for example. I've ha...

Jon's Blog of Stuff: March 2007
http://jonsblogofstuff.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Jon's Blog of Stuff. Saturday, March 24, 2007. My ears are still ringing. It's a shame that I missed out on Elbow, and according to a local newspaper it's been touted as the gig of the year. ok Herald Sun, jumping the gun a bit? After drafting this post and saying, yeah I'll get back to that later, I've finally got off my arse to finish the post. Yo La Tengo was at the start of the month! Corner Hotel = 850. HiFi Bar = 950. Northcote Social Club = 300. Prince of Wales = 950. The Palace = 1,500. Liam Finn...

Jon's Blog of Stuff: January 2007
http://jonsblogofstuff.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Jon's Blog of Stuff. Sunday, January 21, 2007. Nathan deserves a raise. He walked away saying: 'Thanks for that Nathan'. I initially had no idea where he got that from, and when the penny finally dropped, it was too late. I noticed that a napkin partially obscured my nameplate over the Jo part showing:. Nathan. I proceeded to clear out the whole area in case he came around again. Mistake (1) I shouldn't have turned around when he said Nathan. Mistake (2) At this stage I should've corrected him. 8 of thes...

Jon's Blog of Stuff: April 2007
http://jonsblogofstuff.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Jon's Blog of Stuff. Tuesday, April 10, 2007. Fashionably Late Never Works. Ok I'll admit it; I was at home watching tv at around 8.00pm, the listed start time for Sarah Blasko on Wednesday night. I'd channel surfed to the Biggest Loser and they were showing one of the contestants doing the Canyon Swing in NZ. 'Hey I've done that! I exclaimed as he lamented if the industrial strength harness would hold 100kgs whilst peering over the ledge 109m from the ground. I managed to convince my brother to head alo...

Jon's Blog of Stuff: February 2007
http://jonsblogofstuff.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Jon's Blog of Stuff. Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Sunday night. An ideal time to venture into Richmond with no crazy drivers, footy traffic or trams banked up. It resembled a ghost town at 9.30 with small groups of people making it to the bars near the train station end. Whilst waiting outside, I was surprised to see Quan and Ben casually making their way into the venue, fumbling for the relevant pass to get in. Is brilliantly original, developed by Quan and an interesting view of their history. It was th...

Sartorial Splendour: Dream a little dream
http://sartorialsplendour.blogspot.com/2006/09/dream-little-dream.html
Wednesday, September 27, 2006. Dream a little dream. In an ideal world, what line of work would be my dream job? I guess there's not really much of a market out there for that particular job descrition, but there you have it. Para; 1:34 PM. I think i would have loved to grow up in your household, watching all those great flicks and actually appreciating them from a younger age. do you remember that movie dude Bill Collins on channel 10 many moons ago? And as for astrology, despite my professed scepticism...
