Resources for showing kids Jesus. Click here to navigate. What’s Better for Kids than Self-Esteem? The gospel says there are two things we need to know about ourselves. Together, they produce a dynamic far greater than self-esteem. Gospel teachers see it differently. We too want kids to be confident, but we realize that confidence in oneself is misplaced. So instead of teaching self-esteem, we teach kids that they need to know two things about themselves: who they are. Christ, and who they are. Jesus is ...

We have good reasons to operate this way. Time-tested resources like the Heidelberg Catechism. Thankful. He does, however, retain what we mi...

Serving the Lord in Trim, Ireland. Sunday, January 12, 2014. The end of fear begins with the Gospel. For God gave us a spirit, not of fear, but of power and love and self-control. I’m thankful I don’t have to live like that! When I avoid having people in my home because I’m afraid. Of what they will think about me because of the mess my kids left in the living room or the dirt and grime in the kitchen or bathroom, I am not believing the gospel. Of being unaccepted or unloved, I am not believing the gospel.

Keating Irish Journey: May 2013
http://hissteadfastlove.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Serving the Lord in Trim, Ireland. Saturday, May 18, 2013. When we moved to Louisville, I did not have much experience with fellow believers moving away. After all, we were the ones that moved! Having been here in Louisville for almost two years, I have begun to experience the bittersweet reality of being a part of a church that functions as sending center for the Great Commission. Don't get me wrong.I love my church! I love to see the Gospel go forth! I love to hear of revival! But I hate to lose friends.

One study concluded that 73% of the population of Burundi is undernourished. So what do people in rural Burundi eat? These days, as prices for imported and packaged goods are rising. This spring we took a field trip to see how a Burundian friend prepares her meals. This is what we learned. Jason and He...

How We Got Here. How We Got Here. For those curious as to how one ends up in the joyous, yet undeniably singular position in which we find ourselves: The short answer is that we all did part or all of our medical training in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and that we were at the same church, Knox Presbyterian. December 2013: McCropders at Kibuye. Along this path, Alyssa Pfister, who was also a 2-year post-resident doctor at Tenwek, joined our team amid much enthusiasm.
