I knew what I was getting into. When I found myself pregnant at 37, I was at once elated and apprehensive. I mean, come on people, I'm getting old. On more than one occasion, I've rejoiced in the fact that my kids were out of diapers, could be trusted to not put childproof outlet plugs in their mouths and had stopped eating bits of carpet fuzz. I'm not gonna lie: IT SUCKS. And I've lived in Wisconsin - aka: The Frozen Tundra - my entire 36 years, so you'd think I'd be hardened to the frigid cold winters that last a solid five to six months by now. Yeah Not so much. Thursday, May 27, 2010. I had to go in last Wednesday and again yesterday for follow-up blood tests to make sure my hcG level is dropping to reflect a completed miscarriage. It was 193 last week, and fell to 11.4 yesterday. Hopefully this means I'll be at 0 for next week's blood test. I feel like we've spent so ooooo. Things will be okay. Seven years of blogging. Sounds like a good number to go out on. This space has served its purpose, I think. It gave me a creative outlet, a place to grieve, express myself, find new friends and explore a world of craft, art, photography.
