In personal art I'm the client and artist, the world is the audience. In the making, sometimes I know what I want, but often discover what I want. I love photography for it's ability to slice time, whereas drawing compresses time. Both are expressive and effective tools of the eye/mind. I don't see a major distinction between fine and applied art. They both generate a dialogue. And my role is to facilitate that regardless of application.
