神社庁は伊勢の神宮を本宗 ほんそう と仰ぐ、全国約80,000社の神社を包括する宗教団体である神社本庁の地方機関で、各都道府県に置かれています。 去る平成二十四年七月二十九日 日 に 夏休み親子せんぐう教室 が開催された。 これは三重県神社庁青少年対策委員会の企画で、 青少年への教化活動の一環として 子供達に式年遷宮を知ってもらいたい お参りする事により神宮をもっと身近に感じてもらいたい といった目的のもと企画された。 参加者は小学生 保護者同伴 か中学生とし、 せんぐう館の見学 忌火おこし体験 外宮参拝 神域内散策といった内容である。 子供の募集人員三十名に対し参加者は三十九名、 保護者三十一名、 スタッフ十二名、 計八十二名の大人数となった。 当日九時三十分スタッフ一同炎天下のせんぐう館前に集合、 森本巖教化部長により各種説明ののち 子供達への熱中症対策は勿論の事、 スタッフの皆さんも各自気を付けて下さい との言葉を頂く。 館内では、 せんぐう館職員による式年遷宮の説明 遷宮シアターでのビデオ鑑賞 御装束神宝拝観 原寸大の御正殿の側面再現模型の見学など充実した内容であった。
