work in progress: he's surely alive
http://lindsayoconnor.blogspot.com/2013/04/my-god-is-not-dead-hes-surely-alive.html
Sharing stories of the Lord's goodness. Tuesday, April 2, 2013. My God is not dead,. He's surely alive,. Living on the inside,. Roaring like a lion! Not to beat a dead horse, since I've mentioned this song two or three times before, but it made such a huge impression on me and I feel like the Lord keeps bringing me back to it, first to strengthen me, then to reaffirm that He will keep taking care of me, then to remind me of what He has done for me and how far we've come. And that is what we are!

work in progress: little earthen vessel
http://lindsayoconnor.blogspot.com/2014/09/being-vs-doing.html
Sharing stories of the Lord's goodness. Wednesday, September 24, 2014. I am in the midst of reading a book called Abba's Child. By Brennan Manning and cannot say enough about how much I am enjoying and learning from it. I have to take my time with it, sometimes reading sentences or paragraphs two or three times to digest the ideas discussed, but I still find it inviting and easy to relate to. In the chapter I read today, the author quotes a thologian named Edward Schillebeeckx (what?

work in progress: janie dreams of sushi
http://lindsayoconnor.blogspot.com/2013/07/potty-water-and-sushi-song.html
Sharing stories of the Lord's goodness. Saturday, July 27, 2013. Janie dreams of sushi. Yesterday was a really great and kind of rough day, in the world of parenting. In the morning, I was cleaning out some old clothes to get rid of and Janie was happily playing with them, trying them on and being very busy like she generally is. She kept draping things around her neck, pulling things out of a drawer saying, "I like dif [this] one! It cracked me up. MOMMY WEAR HER FIP FOPS! Daddy bow [blow] on it.").

http://lindsayoconnor.blogspot.com/2014/01/unless-lord-builds-house.html
Sharing stories of the Lord's goodness. Thursday, January 23, 2014. Unless the Lord builds the house. Two words: Potty training. Ugh. I've been dreading it and putting it off and finally decided I needed to get started, and it's almost as unpleasant as I feared it would be. Unless the Lord builds the house,. The builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city,. The guards stand watch in vain. 2 In vain you rise early. And stay up late,. Toiling for food to eat—. Offspring a reward from him.

http://lindsayoconnor.blogspot.com/2012/12/we-are-wrapping-up-our-beth-moore-study.html
Sharing stories of the Lord's goodness. Tuesday, December 4, 2012. As a father carries his son. We are wrapping up our Beth Moore study on Revelation, which has been incredible, confusing, overwhelming, encouraging, exciting, and troubling. I have learned so much, but in doing so, I've also become more aware of how little I know. However, I read a wonderfully refreshing scripture tonight. D. Euteronomy 1:29-31 says,. The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord turn His countenance toward you.

work in progress: faithful
http://lindsayoconnor.blogspot.com/2015/01/my-thoughts-after-all-silence.html
Sharing stories of the Lord's goodness. Tuesday, January 27, 2015. I wrote the following on 1/15/15:. It was the same hospital where I had been told, about 7 months prior to meeting my darling Jane Elise, that I was having a miscarriage, later thought to be an ectopic pregnancy. Tears stung my eyes with the pain and memory of that feeling when suddenly, the Lord gently reminded me that my memory was not quite accurate. There was. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). work in progress: the longest post ever
http://lindsayoconnor.blogspot.com/2013/01/roaring-like-lion.html
Sharing stories of the Lord's goodness. Sunday, January 13, 2013. The longest post ever. Ie, going through hard times and coming out still hanging on, however feebly, to the truth) is a much slower, more difficult, more uncertain, and often more painful process than knowing (knowing the Lord and the Word well enough to expect the truth to be true. Your faith is tested). It when he loves me in spite of my shortcomings, which become plainer to him the longer we are married. I. I felt like He was using the ...
