The goal is to make 10 gallons of a single wort, then split it into two 5 gallon carboys to ferment seperately for two different beers. Once the Wort is finished there's a couple options you can have to create two different beers. Saison (6 Gallons, 80% Eff, Tinseth). 6 lbs - German Pilz (Weyerman). 15lb - Domestic 2-Row (Rahr). 1 lbs - Wheat (Marminster Floor Malted). Look - Light y...

Session Beer Brewing: December 2011

http://sessionbeerbrewing.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 15, 2011. Apologies for the absence. The most popular session beer in the world? As I've said before on this blog, I'm not a macro lager hater, they have their place and the big breweries know how to brew this tricky style well. So this time I thought I would try and brew the most consumed beer style in the world. Anyway, Fermentis doesn't seem to sell small ( 11 gram) packet to homebrewers but there's a sight ( http:/ www.americanbrewmaster.com/product info.php? 9 lbs - Domestic 2-Row.

A list of breweries in Bolivia. Resources for Bolivian Homebrewers. January 26, 2014. New year, new homebrews. It’s almost February, and since coming back from Chile (a few more reviews are yet to come! But, it’s still nice to write about what I’ve been brewing in narrative form at least. A couple weeks ago I brewed a double mash. As always) that I split into a wild saison called Three Years’ End. And my personal Sisyphean beer, Honey Sage Tripel. For sending those to me! I’ve found that when I run...

A list of breweries in Bolivia. Resources for Bolivian Homebrewers. March 28, 2016. Visiting Holy Hops / Monastery of Christ in the Desert. Last week was spring break, and my wife and I hoofed it to her childhood home of Albuquerque to visit some family friends, see the sights, etc. One of our day trips was to Ghost Ranch, Georgia O’Keefe’s home in the desert for fifty-some years, and lo and behold, guess what’s only two miles up the road? Christ in the Desert Monastery, purveyors of Holy Hops. Rhizomes ...

A list of breweries in Bolivia. Resources for Bolivian Homebrewers. August 6, 2016. In praise of a cheap contract-brewed Pilsner. For the monthly Session. With any luck, someday I’ll get to visit the Czech Republic and then complain incessantly of the poor imitations available here, but until I become that insufferable blowhard I’m happy to enjoy the generic and delicious $1 bottles of Josephsbrau Bohemian Lager. In praise of a cheap contract-brewed Pilsner. Session 108: Winter in SD. She Brews Good Ale.

A list of breweries in Bolivia. Resources for Bolivian Homebrewers. June 5, 2016. Budweiser’s America might be more unifying than exclusionary. Most of the beer-watching world collectively rolled its eyes when AB-InBev announced that Budweiser would be renamed “America” through until the election, and it was hard to disagree with the impulse given its premise that, “we are embarking on what should be the most patriotic summer that this generation has ever seen.”.
