Monday, March 30, 2015. Celebrating the growing Hunt Family! We arrived in Tucker late Friday night for a whirlwind weekend with family. Lyla and DDaddy's tradition: donuts! Lyla was so excited to finally meet her cousin, Emily! We kept Emily so her Mommy and Daddy could have a Valentine's Day lunch date. She put up a fight, but finally fell asleep like this. I loved every minute. Sunday, we hosted a little lunch and mini-baby shower for Jensen and Jesse. Sara and Jennifer with Emily. So proud of her work.

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. 48 Hours after Surgery. We were told that the first 24-48 hours after surgery were critical. It was important that Rex's pain be well-managed and that he not get too upset. If his blood pressure got too high, there would be a risk of busting stitches on his heart. Thankfully, this was never an issue. We headed back to Rex's room where Seth immediately picked him up. Monday, September 29, 2014. Grandparents Weekend and Pierced Ears! Lyla brought home the information for Grandparents Day at school and knew exactly who she wanted to come. Since her DDaddy is so amazing and loves her so much, he jumped at the chance! He arrived Saturday afternoon and left Monday after lunch. It was a pretty fun-filled weekend! She looks scared, but she didn't flinch. We loved having DDaddy with us for the weekend! The school held a Grandparents Day program in the gym and also had donuts.

Tuesday, April 24, 2012. After 3 attempts, Rex's aorta was finally successfully repaired using a patch. That's the short version. It was a very intense couple of hours as the first two attempt to repair the aorta with stitches did not successfully raise the blood pressure in the lower part of his body. Mimi On My Mind. Saturday, November 28, 2009. On the road again. After a good week at home with us, Mom and Dad are on the road back to Georgia. Unfortunately, because of the Thanksgiving holiday week, the physical therapist was unable to visit the house but Mom had a great session with the occupational therapist. We were also visited by a nurse a couple of times which was reassuring. They tested her blood- both her hemoglobin level and sugar levels were normal. Here's a picture from Thanksgiving, though.
