May 2, 2015. Get tired of this very old but very awesome trick. It's simple:. Use a transparent rect or transparent pixels to clear the buffer of your graphics program. The result is you get nice looking trails. This can usually easily be done in most graphics APIs that support bitmap animation. I've done it in Java, C /OpenGL, Processing, ActionScript, Lingo, Canvas/JavaScript etc. The trick is always pretty much the same. I first stumbled upon the technique in Lingo. May 6, 2015.
