Back to Ballet | KitTeaCat does Ballet
https://kitteacat.wordpress.com/2014/12/11/back-to-ballet
Likes tea, cats . . . and more recently, ballet. It’s been a sad, sad ballet month thus far. My studio was closed for Thanksgiving week, and then I had to miss a couple of classes for silly reasons. My first class in two weeks was on Monday and I was So. Sore. the next couple of days! BUT Now it’s back to regular ballet! Until Christmas and New Year’s roll in and screw up everyone’s schedule again. How do you keep your ballet routine over the crazy holidays? Baby it's cold outside. Enter your comment here.

The trials and tribulations of returning to the world of dance as an adult student. The Pointe Shoe Saga. Saturday, January 31, 2015. What's in Your Bag? I was cleaning out my dance bag the other day, and started thinking about how personal a dance bag can be. Some people have small tote bags and only carry the necessities (e.g. tights, leotard, shoes), while others (like me) pack every possible thing they could ever need. Saturday, January 10, 2015. Stereotypical New Years Post. Got me thinking about wh...

How To Eat Fried Worms. James and the Giant Peach. The Great Turkey Walk. This WordPress.com site is the bee's knees. The Great Turkey Walk. What character do you want to be in the book? I want to be Simon because he completed third grade four times but it doesn’t mean that he is going to fourth grade. Another thing why is because he is so brave walking the turkeys all the way to Denver by himself. How did you feel after reading this book? What was your favorite part in the story? I’m a Dance Leftie…or Am I? – Ballet Bones

Back in the Studio After 30 Years. I’m a Dance Leftie…or Am I? Sunday, 16 August 2015. Sunday, 16 August 2015. It was only when I started doing ballet again that I discovered just how much this physical imbalance rears its fugly head when you’re dancing. Ok, not quite about the size of your hands and so on, but how your dominant side will strongly manifest itself and impact your performance. In my case, it’s the left. So why am I balancing incorrectly? This can’t just be a matter of the dominant si...

God and His Canvas | Random Thought for the Day

Random Thought for the Day. Just putting my thoughts out there. God and His Canvas. One evening when I was about seven years old, Grandma O. (my mom’s mom) and I were admiring the sunset from her kitchen window while she washed dishes at the sink and I ate a snack at the table. The black outline of the trees in her back yard and the neighbors’ yards behind hers sharply contrasted against the pale orange sky. 8220;That’s a pretty sunset,” I said, after taking my first glance of it.
