My Boering Life
http://boeringlife.blogspot.com/2006/07/wow-i-didnt-realize-that-it-had-been.html
The daily struggles of a small-time Boer goat breeder. Friday, July 21, 2006. Wow, I didn’t realize that it had been so long since I posted anything! I guess I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. Losing little Freddy really bummed me out for quite a while. I just lost interest in taking photos or blogging after he died. He was the 3rd goat I lost in just 8 months and I was feeling really discouraged. But as they say, life goes on, and so here I am. Besides that, nothing much has gone on around here until ...

My Boering Life: August 2005
http://boeringlife.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
The daily struggles of a small-time Boer goat breeder. Wednesday, August 31, 2005. It might not be apparent to everyone around me, but it still hurts so much. I woke up in the middle of the night with the sound of his final cries ringing in my head. It sounds cliché, but the sound of his cries haunts me. If he had to go, I just wish it hadn’t been so painful for him. That’s what hurts the most that he died in pain. Now I’ve got to stop crying I am the ugliest crier in the world. My Boering Life: October 2005
http://boeringlife.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
The daily struggles of a small-time Boer goat breeder. Monday, October 31, 2005. Vermont and the Nightie. So as I said, I got home on the 29th, which happened to be Carl’s birthday. Before I left for Vermont, Carl told me that he would like a flannel "nightie" for his birthday. Yes, he actually said "nightie". I looked at him like he was nuts (well, he is nuts after all, so how else could I look at him? I was like ". Nightshirt at The Vermont Country Store. Who would have known? What really worries me no...

My Boering Life: September 2005
http://boeringlife.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
The daily struggles of a small-time Boer goat breeder. Tuesday, September 27, 2005. I was so happy about Harley’s win yesterday, and then all that happiness came crashing down again. I let Butchie and the girls out to roam around the yard. Everything seemed fine until I went to feed them and put them away for the night. Butch didn’t eat. That’s so unlike him. So, I got out the thermometer and took his temperature it was 104.7 Oh. My. God. Not another sick goat! Posted by I'm Boer'd @ 7:10 AM. If I do, I'...

My Boering Life: November 2005
http://boeringlife.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
The daily struggles of a small-time Boer goat breeder. Thursday, November 24, 2005. The Feud is over. The couple, Toni and Rich, (and their children and grandchildren) who live across the street from us have been like family to Carl and me since we moved here 10 years ago. They are really the nicest people! Even though Rich is in his 60’s, he and Carl have been the best of friends. They watched sports on TV together, helped each other out with various repairs etc around each or our houses, and always,.

My Boering Life: June 2005
http://boeringlife.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
The daily struggles of a small-time Boer goat breeder. Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Overall, I’m so happy with my life here in Indiana. I have a good job, I live out in the country (which I love), I have my goats (which I’m crazy about) and a really happy relationship with Carl (regardless of how I complain about him). But still. It’s not really "home". So now I’m feeling very sad today I miss my Mama and my sister! And I just want to go home! Posted by I'm Boer'd @ 12:59 PM. My Top Secret Mission. So I did...
