Saturday, April 12, 2014. A Freezer Full of Pork! Last fall I bought four little heritage breed piglets, knowing that in six months our freezer would be empty and ready for more pork. And now I am super glad that we did. A pork disease hit many big hog farms this winter and pork prices are projected to be very high this summer. I'm sooo glad we bought before the shortage. Phew! All winter long we fed, watered, and watched them grow. They were happy and healthy on our little farm. A Freezer Full of Pork!
