In 2005, Scott Burke and Tom Moore teamed together to develop a contextualized mathematics and Career and Technical Education (CTE) course. After spending sixteen months in development, the Geometry in Construction program was successfully launched with a cohort of 80 students. Since the inaugural year, thousands of students have benefitted from learning how mathematics is used in construction and other CTE areas at over 150 high schools nationwide.
